Riverside Municipal Court is a criminal misdemeanor court that handles misdemeanor and traffic offenses that occur
within the city limits and police jurisdiction of Riverside, Alabama.
Municipal Court is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month and begins promptly at 3:00 p.m.
unless otherwise noted on the City Calendar.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYING TRAFFIC FINES
If you have received a traffic citation, you are to appear at Riverside Municipal Court on the date stated on your citation.
If you desire a court hearing, or if a court appearance is required, you must appear on the court date and time shown on your citation.
Certain citations may be paid without appearing in Court if you wish to enter a plea of guilty.

Please allow at least 3 business days, following the citation date, to request information or for payment.

Any payment made by mail must reach the Court office 24 hours before the court date on your ticket.

If you fail to appear in court on the date and time shown on your traffic ticket or to plea and pay the ticket BEFORE your court date,
any one or more of the following things will happen without further notice to you:
1) A warrant will be issued for your arrest.
2) Your driver’s license will be suspended and it cannot be reinstated until the ticket is cleared and a reinstatement fee is paid.
3) A new charge of failure to appear may be made against you.
4) The fine is subject to being increased.
5) Any bond you have posted will be forfeited
